Life is my teacher, and my experiences are lessons

WE are the poets of Tumblr. Every single one of you has impacted me over these years and I wouldn’t be the writer I am without your support. But our writing community is struggling… partly because of decisions of Tumblr, partly because of collective hurt in the world the past few years. I cannot bear to see anyone else disappear. Our community needs CPR… And it will NOT come from a Tumblr update or a lift of banned tags. We need clear and immediate triage, for blogs cut off from support, and that will come from US. Let us show new writers what it was like to walk into Tumblr years ago.

morning comes in waves, rising with a warm and soft winter sun that makes runny droplets of frost on windows.

I haven’t risen yet, I am still dreaming with you somewhere in the realm of imaginings as lush as this morning.

your liquid eyes melt through my dreams. you blur the boundaries between what is and what could be. like dew resting on arching, curling leaves.

like mist moving through the bones of trees.

if I ever stop trying,

will we still talk?

Quizá sea porque ya sé quién soy, y lo mucho que merezco. Que no dejo entrar a cualquiera...

Quizá sea lo mucho que aguanté y poco que me dieron. Que no recibo a nadie que venga con las manos vacías...

Quizá éso y sólo por eso es que todavía no llega alguien lo suficientemente fuerte para aguantar tanto peso

I'd know better

And I do, I do know

But doing and knowing are

Two different things entirely

Too bad knowing better

As I scour the internet

An interwebbed source of ideas

Inspiration sparks

A light switch switched back into the on position

All this time I watched but failed to listen

To what was really around me

Interwoven into my environment

A condition called a false sense of entitlement

In retrospect

A false tongue can speak with a dialect of a misguided rendition of power, praise and ambition

But under the right circumstance if given the right amount of light

Holes can be seen better yet felt if keen senses have been strengthened enough

To recognize truth from lies

Identical are they sometimes

One can be so easily fooled it happens every time

The power that words contain

They Can create while in the same breath they can destroy

They can bring together while in the same line they can deploy

So be careful where you may wander

If need be stop, think and wonder

As Written Knowledge can help redefine the mind to find subtle breaks in what appears to be a continuous line

I speak not to be heard

I write not to be read

I exist not to be understood

But I live therefore I am

All the above and then some
