i think jason needs to be careful with what he posts publicly especially with new developments surrounding the case and while disparaging damien and distancing himself from damien doesn't look good, i also recognize that he's a traumatized individual who feels as if he can't move on due to taking an alford plea which he only did because damien was on death row and i'm going to always afford him grace and empathy for that

i usually hate when people argue that the witch hunts and witch trials of years past were gender neutral events because they weren't, even if some men were accused and "tried", and i heavily disagree with the idea that anyone who was just "weird" or an outcast was targeted because the gendered element was so pervasive. but listening to the trial testimony of the prosecution for the wm3 case is reminiscent of actual witch trial stuff. the prosecutor literally argued that the crime scene being free of physical evidence is evidence in and of itself... this is so deeply unserious and yet was allowed to take place in a court of law.
