Arsova Angels, Wodland Principality, Ashiyimorgad
Hopefully this ends my obsession with this Girlscout Faction.
The Arsov Region. Once it was a domain controlled by the Arsovan Dynasty. Their kingdom having collapsed long ago.
It isn't quite as ancient as well... the ancients, however still it is ancient nonetheless.
Their obsession with an ancient culture with a name "Espanyost" since the desolation remains in the culture that persists with the region.
It is home to the aptly named Arsova Angels, and the "City State of Ashiyimorgad," as well as other factions in the region.The predecessor of the city state causing the existence of the Arsova Angels, And the Arsova Angels causing the existence of the city state.
The region used to be rife with banditry, the majority of which belonged to the despoilers of Ashiyimo.
From the north migrated the Ancestors of the Arsova Angels.
They brought with them advancements which lain in disuse.
They were frequent targets of the despoilers.
On a steppe overlooking what will have become Ashiyimorgad,
Was an unusually large group.
A contingent was sent to raid them.
All the men were slaughtered and the women rounded up.
there were suspiciously less men than they would've expected.
That suspicion was ignored in the face of the prize.
Upon indulging in the cargo, the women made a move.
The inebriated contingent were massacred, their heads decapitated and placed on pikes. Several of the women that were part of the cargo were laid to rest with the men, then they moved to escape to a rumored valley.
They fought in several more raids until they reached ground that the despoilers dare not go.
Several of the survivors were gifted by the angels, in fact they were lead by them. Their power to convene with the wisps saved the group numerous times, a power most widely feared and respected.
The Final raid came about in the final stretch to the valley.
The final place the Despoiler contingent knew they could reach.
It was for this very reason they rushed a desperate all out attack.
They however misunderstood their position.
They had strayed too far into where they had been warned not to go.
As a result they were nearly annihilated by the group and the wisps that assisted them.
Out of the 400 people in the Despoiler Contingent only 32 made it back.
60 participated in the final stretch against the group's 39 and the wisps that assisted them.
Their pride wouldn't allow being beat by a group of women who've defied their will.
119 were lost in the first massacre and the rest were lost in the other raids that followed.
The contingent only fell back when their leader and top officers were captured.
Unbelievably no lives were lost in that final raid.
They would soon meet the descendants of the 28 that were captured.
None of the despoilers left even when given the chance.
They eventually reached a valley covered by 3 mountains.
There was a spire in the center which wisps convene to every once in a while.
There they stood and founded The Arsova Angels.
The region plunged itself into wars that destroyed themselves as the Arsova Angels worked to create a matriarchal society.
The predecessor group having a matriarchal system due to the birth of females being more prevalent in the group. Which naturally made males rather prized.
This change of pace were a welcome change for the "captured" despoilers.
Little did they expect to go to war so soon.
Skirmishes happened on the borders of the valley in which they patrolled.
Which were exploited to introduce new blood.
These soon turned into raids of their own and the Angels became despoilers of their own.
As this was happening rumors of the group spread among the region, destabilizing the hold of the most powerful factions of the region.
One such case was the Ashiyimorgad's rise.
The obsession of the Despoiler Predecessor to destroy the Arsova Angels led to the faction's very own downfall.
They levied a relatively massive army from their subjects and headed off to the valley to wipe the Angels against the protests of the contingent's survivors and those that faced them.
they were wiped.
Their subjects created a council upon their journey's start which overthrew the local garrison.
The last despoilers were forced to migrate east to seek refuge among the tribes of Epekeli or Bozma.
The council agreed to unify the subjects around the central hub in which the old Despoilers organized, and sought to integrate all the subjects into their own collective, a dream of a city.
Despite the coup many of those appointed by the despoilers kept their places as to maintain the peace. They could be replaced later.
This City State among other factions created by the shifting events on the region inherited the problem that is the Arsova Angels which have become quite the scourge.
Them having a practically impregnable bastion led to the Angels being regarded as an inspiration to a despised people in a relatively short time.
This led to the coalition formed to combat the Angels to look into their origins.
Which led to the discovery of them being descended from the Wodli, which came from the continent to the east.
Assistance was asked to the Wodland Principality on how to combat the Arsovan Menace.
They responded with an invasion force.
At first to pacify the Arsovan Angels, but soon sights were set on the rest of the region.
The coalition soon encompassed nearly the entire south regions of Verev.
and the Wodli were stopped at the borders of Ashiyimorgad.
As for the Arsovan Angels, They were disbanded personally by the Prince of Wodland, their society re-organized. The Prince however took a liking to the Angels and allowed them to create an organization with the same namesake.
The Matriarchal System persisted but with the new Arsova Angels.
The Organization being affectionately called The Royal Girl scouts by the Wodland North and their Sagressan Masters far to the east.

Wodli: A People Descended from the Pelierans which migrated to the northwest of the continent and formed the Wodland Principality. Wodland: The main Wodli Nation.
