No matter how much love and compassion you pour into someone’s broken heart, it seeps through the cracks and holes, disappearing into the darkness they created for themselves, never to return.

Because you walked away so easily, and left me here alone, but that's how the tale of heartbreak goes, and I guess I should have known.

And now I wish I never fell, that our story never began, because loving you destroyed me, more than losing you ever can.
