I hate how people keep talking about Paige and Azzi’s mental like they know them. we dont see nearly enough of them to dictate how they are doing mentally and if they’re struggling. seeing people say stuff like “i can tell paige is struggling mentally right now” “they’re killing her love for basketball” or “you can tell shes mentally drained” makes me cringe. They are obviously rightfully upset they’re on a bit of a losing streak right now + Azzi being out im sure she wants to be healthy and be able to play, But assuming things like this about people we do not know is not okay. Its fine to feel bad for our favs and want them to look/be happy but again we dont see NEARLYY enough of their lives to determine how they’re doing off court and off camera. Any teams star players are going to be upset if they’ve been losing, for example, look at A’ja when the Aces aren’t playing well. She can express her dismay/unhappiness but you don’t see people trying to say that shes in a bad place mentally everytime the Aces lose a game.

And even if one of them was in a bad place mentally Its NOT our place to discuss that on the internet as strangers who do not know them. As an athlete myself athletes mental health is so important but its HOW you bring attention to it.

Having all star weekend withdrawals. A lil pizza
