My 9 year was my accountability partner tonight...she knew I had to run 45 minutes...she also knew I didn't feel like it...she practically pressured me into going. Thankfully!! Lol. OAN...she's a talker and I'm not...OMG...somebody make it STOP!! Aside from her nonstop talking 😂...she pushed me. We both ran on 6...seeing who would stop first. Evening swims are always tough for me! It took everything for me to go to the pool AND get IN the pool. Smh I swear sometimes you just have to turn your brain off and JUST DO IT!! Wasn't pretty. Had to use the pull buoy the last few hundred yards...time and energy was NOT on my side! But...Got'r done!eat...swim...sleep...repeat! Is it morning already?!? Thought about skipping (putting off) my run last night but could not figure out when I would have time to make it up throughout the rest of the week. Some say don't worry about missed workouts. They haunt me all week!! Had fun with my Garmin...saved my confusing speedwork to my watch and BAM just did what it told me to do! I must have forgot to set it to indoor because I'd only tracked .51 miles. Lol. Here's my week in review...how I lost 6.9lbs. Not only did I increase my workouts...I also increased my water intake and decreased my food intake.

It's weigh-in Monday and I'm excited be down nearly 7lbs. I know a lot of was due to eating late Sunday night, last week...which probably added to the higher number last week. But I'll take a loss anyway I can get one. Still upset with myself for allowing myself to gain so much weight but but that's not getting me closer to my goals. Making healthier choices, remaining active, drinking my water and not giving up...IS! So...just as with my fitness...I have to accept where I am and move forward from here!! Did you weigh-in today? On any OTHER given day I would have been SO frustrated by the fact that once upon a time I covered this distance in an hour or ran over 8 miles in this amount of time...but on THIS day...I'm so excited that today's run was better than yesterday's run. I cannot keep comparing myself to what used to be but accept that I had a setback...and coming back will take accepting where I am NOW and improving from this moment instead of constantly looking back. I was able to stay within my targeted zones today longer...runner faster than yesterday. Work smarter not harder. Today was my first run training by heart rate zones. I did a run test earlier this week and my zones were determined from there. I was supposed to stay in the low to mid zone 2 (146-156 bpm) zone...all I can is I look forward to watching my progress because today's "run" was DEPRESSING!!! I had to practically WALK (4.1 treadmill/1% incline 😩) to stay within that zone. The goal is to be able to maintain that HR at a faster pace. I'm confident if I would have stayed with #weightWatchers throughout my journey I would be at my goal weight by now. Have you ever been stuck in traffic and decide to change lanes because the other lane looked faster and as soon as you switch...the lane you left starts moving faster than lane you're now in? The bottoms line is both lanes will get you to your destination but constantly changing back and forth will only lead to frustration. I won't reach my step goal today because my bike tried to take me out! I had a heart rate zone test this evening...REALLY pushed myself to the limit! I got up to 25 mph...wish I could hold that pace for 56 miles. Lol. Would love to avg 20 mph for my #triathlon...we'll see. Got to the pool early enough to get the entire swim workout in today...even got a compliment from the other swimmer who shares my lane..."you're a great swimmer". Me?!? Yeah right...I thought...although, I replied with a simple, "thank you". If we could only see ourselves the way others see us. I'm constantly looking at where I want to be and rarely look at how far I've come.
