In Metropolis (Lang, 1927), the relationship between Josaphat and Freder appear today as giving strong gay vibes.

And I couldn’t help myself to find some parallels with Good Omens. (Like Josaphat would be Crowley and Freder would be Aziraphale)

- Freder was in a sort of new Eden

- Josaphat is a kind of fallen angel, as he is fired by Joh (Freder’s father, creator of the city, making him kinda like god).

- Freder question the morality of his father, go to the « mortal » world (the city of workers) with Josaphat, and learn their sufferings etc (like Aziraphale going on earth and stuff).

- even with all the suffering he witnessed, Freder believe in a solution that would bring everyone together

- Freder is the weak point of Josaphat when the spy come to his house.

- But it was mainly THIS. POSE.
