Etho is the kind of guy to believe in chemtrails and that the earth is flat, but in a really low-key, stress-free kind of way. He’s not gonna picket the government or anything, he just thinks that’s the way the world is. It’s just a casual part of his worldview. He’s so unbothered by it that nobody knows until he just casually drops in conversation that there sure are a lot of chemtrails out today and Doc swivels his neck 180 degrees like an owl to stab him with eye lasers

i've seen a couple of posts around it but i do think it's worth saying outright that it's a bit sad and disappointing that the lore of etho's base is inspired specifically by wall-e's portrayal of mobility chair users, something that's deeply mean-spirited and mocking towards fat and disabled people. i guess you just would've hoped that etho---especially as someone who's friends with scar who is himself a wheelchair user---would put some thought into why it's not great to associate lack of movement with laziness
