Medical students also have a life

After getting the diagnostic of bipolar disorder I finally understood myself. The crave for those high moments and the fear of the low ones.

I am on medication for a year now and it's easier to stay calm and functional but the extremes got scarier.

These last two weeks I have been so calm that it almost felt weird. The world is collapsing and I'm calm? That makes no sense.

But I'm in my room, my safe space, that's why I have been doing ok. But that's not forever... and reality got to me.

I'm in my room crying alone because I feel sad for being in my room crying alone.

Now what?

I took this picture when I was sent home from the hospital because the contingency measures taken by the hospital included "no students allowed".

Four days later my classes are all canceled.

Today is 24/03/2020, my exams were supposed to start yesterday. I didn't have any classes since I was sent home from the hospital. The exams were postponed nobody knows to when. And I don't know when my classes will start again and how I'm supposed to finish the school year.

This pandemic is something new and affecting everyone everywhere. And my heart is with all my teachers that are doctors and are giving their all.
