[Previous] [The End]

This was a beast to draw and write, to wrap everything up and make a conclusion to 9 months of work and 282 pages in total. I have had this ending in mind since the start but actually reaching this point is something else entirely. Thank y'all for coming on this journey with me.

If you think this is long, I actually couldn't fit everything I had first envisioned in here!

So things on the cutting room floor: A gag of Blitzwing trying to leave but keeping coming back for more kisses. Blitzwing trying to relate to Optimus' experience of Aroflux through Liz as her passive influence dampens their overwhelming romantic feelings somewhat. Optimus confessing to first starting to date Blitzwing because he was drawn into the promise of a romantic relationship that was destined to end and so he did not need to care about keeping up pretenses (only to end up actually really caring about Blitzwing's feelings). Additionally Optimus telling that he was always sexually attracted to Blitzwing (to which Zing would make a joke about being relieved because he can't ruin their good looks). Lastly I cut Wings theorizing that they might have an additional alter that's been dormant since the surgery because of them having significant gaps in their memory from the war (which is now represented visually instead).

Along with that this ending had significant change as originally part of the reason Blitzwing was going to leave was to figure out who he was without Optimus as Wings and Liz would end up fusing. However I scrapped that concept in the beginning of Act 2 as I had grown attached to Liz and also from people misunderstanding the concept of fusion as a kind of return to default. Hopefully Liz/Wings arcs and ending still was satisfactory in how it ended up :]
