They told me that sex before marriage was a sin. They told me that I shouldn’t let anyone touch me there. They told me to wait to have sex until I was older, until I was ready, sure, in love. They told me that sex was a BIG DEAL. They told me that it was a SERIOUS THING. They told me scary story after scary story about SEX GONE WRONG. They told me that sex was a private and personal thing and so the pleasurable facts about it were never shared. They told me these things over and over and over and now they wonder why I am the way I am.

Now they tell me that pretty much everyone is having sex before they get married. They tell me that most people have lost their virginity by the time they are my age. They tell me that sex is NO BIG DEAL. They tell me that sex is FUN and ENJOYABLE. They tell me that it is NORMAL and NATURAL to want. They tell me the details of their sex lives that I don’t want to know like I asked for these intimate details to be laid bare in front of me.

Why did I not watch BoJack Horseman sooner??? What kept me?!
