How long did it take them to figure out that it could actually be done? That's staggering.
[Video is titled, "four cellists play Ravel's Bolero." It's on Classic fM. They all play on the same cello, with the drum part is played by plucking strings. Two of them do small comedy fights in the background between their parts, trying to take the other's place beside the cello. It's a pretty tight fit, and at some points there are four bows almost touching as they all saw the strings.
Text on the screen reads,
four cellists play Ravel's Bolero ... on just one cello. Bolero has long been a test of endurance for snare drummers, but here, every part is played by a cellist. With only one instrument in sight, Wiener Cello Ensemble 5 + 1 leap to the task, involving a fair amount of acrobatics! Watch it all unfold ...

I have been banned from continuing to discuss the existence of the French Revolution in the Bridgerton universe at family dinners
^ I stand by this.
( @frodo-of-the-nine-fingers I’m so sorry)
For the record, I have a similar reaction to the scene set in the Princess of Wales Theatre in That Inevitable Victorian Thing.
I understand why that theatre was chosen, but also the reason for that theatre's existence (Miss Saigon) would not have been created within the alternative history which serves as the backbone of the novel. So then how and why is it there?
It is, admittedly, a series of dominoes that make it impossible without an entire alternate history of the theatre, and I will gladly rant about it if given the chance, but also, I'm fully aware that I'm enough of a theatre nerd for this to matter to me, and that's all there is to it. XD
happy 20 year anniversary of Neil banging out the tunes!
though every rat is special, it's a wonderful and unusual thing for their accomplishments to be remembered and cherished by so many people so many years later. we're all so fortunate to know about the rat who banged out the tunes!
thank you to all the people who sent me reference photos of their beloved rats for this piece!!! credits under the cut!

finally finished my ep 26-30 drawings!! phew...
I was a bit bummed about the lack of bakugou in these episodes but then I realized how much stain would've hated him so maybe it's a good thing he sat this one out
A huge fan of stains quirk though. As for stain himself, I think his ideals are super half-baked and kinda dumb but I respect the fact he's an equal opportunity hater good for him
