WHO AM I?

From the Greek Mythology - ATHENA The Goddess of Wisdom, War, and Handicraft

Athena is the Goddess of Wisdom, War, and Handicraft. She is versatile and can do a lot of things. She gave a helping hand for the heroes in in their time of adventure. She is the wisest and she used this part of her to help others that is why I can relate to her. Whenever I know that I have the idea, the knowledge, and the capability to do something for others, I will also give them my hand with sincerity.

Just like other people, Athena isn't perfect and also has good and bad personality on her side which I can relate to. People see her with intelligence, logic, wisdom, reasoning, and creativity to help pursue a higher meaning of being human.

Moreover, as a woman, she is bold and brave to face their enemies.

FAVORITE FAMILY TRADITION

Two of my favorite family traditions are eating together as a whole and visiting different churches. Eating together with or without occasion feels so heart-touching. We can't be together every day since we have different agendas and schedules. When we eat together, it feels good to be whole as a family. As to visiting churches, we visit, pray as a family, and enjoy the rest of the day.

FAVORITE ULAM

My favorite viands are “daing nab angus” and “tortang talong”. The belly of the fish is my favorite part. With soy and calamansi, the combination of eggplant and egg is delicious. These “ulams” will always be life-giving for me, regardless of who prepared or cooked. When I eat these foods, I feel like I am eating the clouds.

EXPRESSION

I feel the strongest social solidarity with my family from my mother’s side.

I lived with this group for a long time and, with them, I feel comfortable. We may not have a stable and expensive life, the bond we have can surpass them all. The happiness with the stories we share is priceless. Together, we help and volunteer for many activities, especially in church events. On this side, I can freely speak up and suggest stuff. I am not comparing them with my father's side, but I am only living alone in my house from my father's side for just six months now. I am also looking forward to better days with them, to feel myself around them, and be open with their side.

What am I willing to do or sacrifice for this group?

EVERYTHING.

I am actually in tears right now writing this part. The saddest part is I won't be able to help my grandfather anymore. He is my source of strength. In our family, he's like Mr. Bean. I told him to wait for me to become a doctor and he said, "Lalaingem a. Nu makaabot ak pay apok." My grandpa just died last September. Our biggest fear happened. I miss him so much.

Sit down, keep quiet, and let your senses work. List down what you see, hear, smell, taste, and touch. Not all of these may be applicable, but try to have as much sense data as possible. Then reflect on what you learned through your sense experience.

What I saw:

The flowery garden in front of me with their eye-catching vivid colors.  

What I heard:

As of the moment, the melodious music of Blackpink "You Never Know" with my earphones.

What I smelled:

The grilled flavoursome chicken that we will be having inside our stomach for lunch.

What I tasted:

The cool and the sweet taste of the candy I had earlier stuck in my mouth.

What I learned:

I sensed all of these things in a moment with how I experienced them. I wouldn't be able to smell the grilling chicken if it is not here. I am outside and, I can see the garden right in front of me. These are just some of the things to keep in mind. I learned that every experience we have and every sense we make is knowledge for us. We gain from these experiences considering that we have different perceptions.

One of the situations where I think I could explain Plato's elements of the psyche is when spending money. It is a part of the cycle in my life where my father will give me an allowance every month. Since I live in my house all by myself, I will be the one to spend my money. I've been in this kind of situation ever since high school, and it feels like my body, heart, and brain are fighting for what I want and how I will spend my money. Now, this feeling makes sense. On the appetitive part, I want to buy beauty products such as lip tints, makeups, rejuvenating sets, and stuff for my face using the money I have in my hands. Sometimes I want to feel and eat in a fancy restaurant to try trending foods. If I see a boutique, I sometimes walk in without hesitation and look for tops and cool shirts.

On the other side, I have my spirited part that somehow contradicts what I want to spend with my pocket. Before anything else, my other self wants me to save money and spend it on the things I need. I want to save money for the next and upcoming months to help my parents. I am also thinking of my school expenses that if I separate and save what I can save, I would be able to help them. As for my mind, I want to be pretty and look decent for myself but, some things must come first before that. I realize that I can lessen the expenses of my parents by rightfully using the money and not spending it for my satisfaction and desires. Even if I want those things, I am more concerned about my parents' hard work.
