He didn’t accept them by his own will it was more like peer pressure and manipulation by Power to accept his abilities

Power manipulated Seco by bringing up how weak he was against Dalo and making this dream-reality like state that he changed red to Dalo about to hurt his friends again

And also put him on a time crunch to save his friends by attacking them with Seco’s body basically beating Red up and the color gang trying to stop him (the pink looking words are actually red begging him to stop hurting him just for context for my angst lovers :3)

Seco struggles to accept his abilities so instead of slowly trying to get used to them his “powers” create a semi dream-reality like state that he’s able to manipulate (like making red look like Dalo) and forcing Seco to accept him in honest attempt by Seco to protect his friends but in the end hurting them by letting his “powers” in

This is “powers”: basically the embodiment of seco’s ability in his body
