The app offers a choice of two unisex design templates, SURGE and SIERRA, that are customised by your heart beat. Each ring is assigned a different algorithm to ensure that no two pieces are alike. All you need is a smart phone, with the free app downloaded from the iOS App Store, to create a gift that is, quite literally, from the heart.

Your unique design is brought to life through a high-resolution 3D wax printer, and molded and coated in one of the three available finishes

Digital Gastronomy

Research from the University of Jerusalem explores employing methods from computational design and fabrication into the field of meal making:

Digital Gastronomy is a culinary vision were traditional cooking is infused with new computetional abilities (rather than replacing the chef with an autonomous machine).

We deploy existing digital fabrication instruments in traditional kitchens and integrate them into cooking via hybrid recipes. Our hybrid recipes merge manual and digital procedures, and import parametric design tools into cooking, allowing the cook to personalize the tastes, flavors, structures and aesthetics of dishes.

Lapse

Art project from Ivan Toth Depeña is a tour of Augmented Reality art around Miami:

Lapse consists of six interwoven components: The Visions & The Collective, a series of publically accessible murals; The Sounds, a GPS-based audio soundscape discoverable on Miami’s downtown MetroMover; The Writings, a virtual prose experience in Museum Park; The Sculpture, an augmented experience triggered by a public sculpture; and The Moment, a site-specific exhibition at Locust Projects’ space in the Miami Design District. Lapse is the newest chapter of the artist’s ongoing series The Fallen Sky Chronicles. This series has been developing for several years in tandem with personal writings about a character who becomes infected by a technological glitch, restructuring the physical world and morphing consciousness with images and data found on the web. The projects in the series employ chance as a structural element and consist of paintings, drawings, sculptures, and video/new media installations.

Through groundbreaking augmented reality (AR) technology, Lapse responds to triggers and activates virtual and auditory experiences with a mobile device’s camera lens and sound output. The augmented reality technology overlays visual and audio creations over site-specific Miami locations.

DesignSpace

Prototype app by Thomas Van Bouwel is an urban planning / architecture design tool for virtual reality:

DesignSpace is a prototype design tool for the HTC Vive for urban designers and architects, first developed during the 2016 AEC Hackathon in London. The tool demonstrates how you could load in and position reference images, work at scale, add simple block volumes, and sketch directly on the model.
