Went home for X-Mas and finally found this old picture of my great-grandmother. Picture that growing up I found very interesting and entrancing. It's her in her wedding dress (this a photoshop of two photos that a family friend made). I feel the feeling I got looking at it was an early passive development in my gender identity. It's quite euphoric looking at after years of not seeing it and seeing how much closer I resemble her.

She is a mule deer which are common in the park. Wish I was allowed to keep the uniform to do this exact pose irl lol. Hoping to experiment with the red highlights in the hair down the line too. I think a Mule Deer better reflects my personality than a shark tbh. I'm really chill, until not and get really skittish and panicked.

I think one of the biggest reasons I enjoy jjba is because I envy this level of confidence and sincerity in storytelling. See, I would not have just said something as fucking stupid as "bullet-deflecting oil." I would've come up with some kind of Watsonian bullshit magic-science explanation that at least squared with the logic of the story instead of just saying "Oh, it's an oil that deflects bullets" and moving on to the next thing. But that is not because I am a better storyteller, no, quite the opposite. It's because I'm a coward.

nowadays the only people that use the .io domain are technology sites
ok so .io is a "fun" lesson in colonialism and technology, like all two letter top level domains (yes all of them) it's a country domain belonging to a country, io being the british indian oceans territory, an archipelago in the indian ocean. .io domains became so trendy because they're easily marketable to tech people (io can stand for input/output), it looks kinda cool and at the time domains with .io were highly available with not many websites being created on the islands.
however .io is not like other small islands with highly wanted tlds such as .ai or .to, where the islands make millions off of domain sales and can rely on them as a big pillar of their economy. all profits from .io sales go to the UK, and despite a fight to get control over their tld the islands get nothing, not only did the native population get displaced in land deals and colonialism but their colonizer also heavily profits off of the territories sudden (indirect) trendyness with tech startups.
don't buy .io domains, don't support the british empire.

Im 99% sure the context is that the original Overwatch was set to release three days from the original post. Overwatch is the same genre as TF2 (Class shooter) and was incredibly hyped on launch. So the creator of this meme assumes Overwatch would kill TF2.
Despite this, Overwatch never really overtook TF2. Since then, Overwatch 1 lost most ppl’s interest, and was eventually shuttered and replaced with OW2, which is a free-to-play predatory gacha game that, as I know it, is not doing very well. TF2, despite being practically abandoned by the developers and being about a decade older than OW1, has a much healthier playerbase.
tl;dr this is the Class Shooter version of “We popping the biggest bottles when Makorra happens tomorrow”, except with a much slower punchline.
I really should try to get back into TF2; I remember being on old servers for a justin.tv stream like 12 years ago (christ)
