Adam Torres was nervous on a daily basis. As a freshman at Degrassi Community School in Toronto, he was navigating being a transgender student who hadn’t come out yet. Adam had been wearing multiple t-shirts to school everyday to make his chest appear flatter but he was still scared that somehow someone would figure him out. After school, he rushed home and started researching how other transgender guys make their chests flatter. After a third video, he came across binders. He ordered one from Amazon, eagerly waiting for it to arrive. 5 days later, Adam had his very first binder.
