No sorting people into binaries. No talking over trans peoples' experiences with oppression. I don't care if you think they have privilege or not, shut up. If someone if trans, they don't have the same privilege as a cis person. Stop being willfully dense.

I should've specified I'm refering specifically to transandrophobic transfems who say this, I agree I should've rephrased that because out of context I can totally see how it would be read as me saying transfems are all transandrophobes, I typed that post as a bit of a shower thought in the middle of the night so my mind was a bit fuzzy and I didn't consider that. Still, I apologize for contributing to generalization, though it was not my intent, I hope this reblog/edit to my original post can correct that error. I am genuinely sorry and I do think generalization should be avoided on both sides.

I specify transfem trandandrophobes specifically and not just transandrophobes because of the hypocrisy of it. They'll accuse trans men of making everything about them and centering themselves by using transandrophobia to describe their experiences, and act as if they should just use the word transmisogyny because that term describes oppression for all trans people under a misogynistic society.

But then these same people will turn around and insult trans men by calling them all TMEs, its just hypocritical to say transmisogyny applies to all trans people, but then use it as a magic word to divide us between "transfems that experience transmisogyny" and "ignorant men who could never understand transmisogyny"

Because I think we do need a feminist movement that focuses on trans people!
