i think that the devs behind all future plural apps should start using "we&" or equivalent instead of "we" cuz i was under the impression most of them were made up of teams of multiple devs. finding out octocon, lighthouse, and simplyplural were run by one body each (and iirc ampersand was two, but the "we" makes it hard to tell!) right as they shut down has been unpleasant. i think several other current apps out there are also made up of one dev who uses "we".

i can't say for certain whether making it clear that the "we" being referred to is just one system would have led to more people volunteering to help, but the odds aren't impossible. i think pluralkit's going strong because it's got like 52 individual, different contributors to the repository.
