i guess with larry i was very far from the big music & entertainment scene, some stuff i saw about contracts & obligations & goings on made sense. here i just can't comprehend it. not because of the actor stuff, but specific context of actor, small, canadian, young but experienced. sure, they're in the big industry now. but it's not all one big conspiracy cesspool. just doesn't seem worth it, from my perspective.

I don't know how long you've been reading my blog or if you've followed the discussions we've had about the definition of "closeted" in this context, but I think it should all be in my closeting tag.

I don't think neither Hudson or Connor are closeted to anyone but the general public, but since they haven't voiced they're queer and refuse to reveal their sexuality, society at large will treat them as straight due to heteronormativity. Since they're not straight, and not open about being queer to the general public, they're closeted. A glass closet, controlled by heteronormativity, but still closeted.

See the thing is, i was where you are now back in nov/des and even up until like march/april. I saw two unapologetic queer actors, with great chemistry, little boundaries, with no toxic masculinity traits who were best friends. I picked up some things here and there, from body language, tone of voice, things they said etc. that made me go 'hmmmm' and just store that info for later. Hudson had a long term gf which i didn't really question at the time.

Then the red flags started to happen 🚩. It made me see things in a new light.

Fandom digs up old ig posts they've posted of each other from filming HR. The songs that accompanies the posts gets a closer look and uhmmmm, the lyrics are very interesting to say the least. It's beyond what you can expect of fan service. Red flag number 1.

Leak of private pictures of H and K from a "hostile" source. Strike two.

Deux*oi getting involved (means his PR are pushing an agenda). The agenda was too transparent. Get her name out there and have H defend her and protect her. This draws more attention to the doxxing than if he hadn't said anything. Massive red flag.

I'm realising that everything sketchy happened after HBO bought the rights and they were preparing to launch themselves into the american market. Remember what happened when 1D did the same. Yeah....

The C and FA fake PR relationship. Why on earth? A PR relationship between two men, suggesting a relationship is unheard of. They're not afraid to paint Connor as queer by doing this, so what effect does this have, that deem this necessary? Oh, Connor can't be with H if he's with FA. Got it 👍🏻

Hudson says he wants to protect his friendship with C. "Shane and Ilya are for the public. Connor and Hudson are for themselves." What?!?! Who needs to protect a friendship if that's all it is? This is just suggesting there is something more, something worth protecting or that can't see the light of day? Huh...

Hudson brings more and more attention to his relationship with his gf. He says she doesn’t seek the attention and doesn’t want to be percieved. Why is he exposing her to his millons of ig follwers then? Has he posted her at Valentines day previous years? No, so why the need for this now? Again with the public nature of this established relationship.

He brings both C and K for an ice cream date and posts a video of it. Why? My immediate thought is to show us the three of them get along and that Connor isn't a threat to their relationship. I pick up some discomfort from Connor. I store that away for later. Later, he namedrops his gf and says he, K and C went to a museum in Toronto when filming HR. I don't buy it, i pick up on him lying. Why is he lying? I think it's another attempt at proving all three of them get along.

He draws hearts around Connor twice in his posts. He keeps commenting on Connor's post and being unhinged in his desire. Why? Is it fan service, it's sort of disrespectful to his gf? We're way past promo season for HR?

He hardlaunches his gf and brings her to events and red carpets. She's no longer a private person. She seems uncomfortable and he seems to occupied with basking in the attention to remember she's there. This is also the first time we get to really observe them together. They're acting strange and showing odd behaviour. Hudson is low energy. Meanwhile, Hudson is a ball of sunshine around Connor. Strange.

The tabloids are pushing "Who is KRL?" Which is lmaoooo a huge red flag. Why do wee need to know the name of her tattoo shop? Who is paying for these syndicated articles. Wait...i already know. Been here before. Seeing a pattern.

Met Gala. No C and H interaction on the red carpet. They're all over each other inside away from the paps. Stories about them come out from reliable sources, journalists and crew who were there. Hudson posts some uhhh suggestive photos. An article comes out suggesting some non-platonic behaviour. That more pics exists but are not out to the public. Things take a turn after this.

Hudson says "rpf needs to stop y'all'. Nice timing, smells like damage control after the met. You were the main driver of the RPF bus, dude. You can stop yum, yum, yum all over his Tiffany's at any time. Can we expect more stunting too as a consequence? Apparently, yes. Okay, so i can predict things now based on known patterns and known damage control tactics.

CAA awards, H's speech thanking C is more heartfelt than his thank to K. Also he won, no hug? No small peck? She's not into PDA, that's fair. Heart around Connor for the ig post. Alright?

Paris happened. Strange encounter with paps and stalkers. Backgrid is there. Massive red flag. They're always hired by the teams. She's there and H is protecting her again? Will this become more clear later? Indeed.

Mykonos happened. Dancing close in a club. Someone just happened to get this on film. Sure, lmaoo. This is intentional. Why? I'm starting to feel like they are out to prove their relationship.

Papped at the beach. Staged set up. Oh so staged. He looks so gay and like she'll give him girl cooties. Pics by Backgrid. Article in TMZ. Just like C and FA. And the Paris encounter now makes sense. It's a planned Backgrid deal. Lmaoooo. He's just so famous now that the paps followed him. Nice narrative to make it look organic. And a new round of syndicated "who is KRL?" articles. Subtle. Unfortunatly, this was the worst thing they could have ever done if they wanted to sell this relationship as real. It's a slam dunk. They'll never gain any legitimity back from this. They won't recover from this.

She makes a public IG and posts Hudson. Hudson posts her on IG with her new IG account tagged. Why? Why the need for this relationship to be this public? Why is he doubling down right now? She puts "nepo gf" in her bio. She's starting to piss fans off. Why? If the relationship is real there is no need to piss off fans or try this desperately to prove the relationship as real.

Of course there's more, but here's the gist of it. There is just too many red flags. The events that unfolds, the tactics used, the pushbacks, the clear agenda and narrative is just too easy to spot and recognise for me. It's a bearding relationship. No doubt about it. If it were a real relationship they wanted to use for PR it wouldn't look like this. They wouldn't have risked all this, to make it look like a bearding relationship.

You're right, Hudson and Connor are not characters. What you fail to consider though, is that they are two closeted, queer actors in Hollywood trying to make it in the business. They are currently curating their images, developing personas to best appeal to the public and to Hollywood where they seek jobs, and controlling public perception. This is something every celebrity does! Hudson Williams, the person, isn't the same as Hudson Williams, the brand. You're always presented with the brand version of him, even if you might think you see the real Hudson. You've got to come to terms with this.

Some celebrities can afford to create personas and brands, and have their PR set up narratives for them, that are close to who they are in real life. Some people, queer people especially, can't always afford that. Seeing how few openly queer people who historically have succeed in Hollywood, you should ALWAYS question the truth that's being presented to you when it comes to queer celebrities, queer flagging celebrities or celebrities who does queer acting roles.

Hudson and Connor being closeted (non-disclosure of sexuality should always be treated as closeted), queer actors, you cannot be so naive to think that everything that's presented to you in regards to their sexualities and relationships are the truth. You're allowed to disagree AFTER having considered that they may be curating a narrative that fits their goals and agendas and appeal to a hegemonic straight audience.

Considering how prevalent PR relationships and bearding is in Hollywood, every relationship that’s publicised and pushed like this should be questioned. Real relationships doesn’t have anything to prove to anyone. There is no reason H and K's relationship should be this public. She has more to lose than to gain by giving up her privacy and legal protection. Fake relationships do however have something to prove. They're public, they're in your face, they're over the top because otherwise they wouldn't exist.

I don't condone bullying, hate, harrasment or mocking towards a person. Celebrity, public person or not. I also don't condone fan policing of people who doesn’t hold the same views as you do, and i certainly don't condone not being allowed to call out their attempts at lies, gaslighting and manipulation to prove a fake relationship is real. When someone is a public person, they seek attention, exposure and give up some of their privacy. Their legal rights to privacy isn't the same as a private person's. They can't expect to only reap the rewards of being a public person, they need to be able to deal with critisism, call outs, and people questioning their sexuality, relationships and other private matters.

K seems to not deal with being a public person and the scrutiny that comes with this very well. She is currently antagonising and provoking fans who question the validity of her relationship with Hudson, right after a very transparently staged pap session. When K isn't able to take the high road and deal with her new public role, it creates a fandom environment where fans are going to push back and struggle to not let valid critisism of a relationship turn into personal attacs. When she's acting like this, it's not easy to just "leave her alone". She's seeking attention and disrespecting the fans of her partner, a partner who gave her the choice as a private person to stay a private person or to become a public person.

She's not the victim here that you think she is. She made her choice. She's the one in control of how this all goes. She has the power to regulate how public she wants her relationship with H to be. She's chosen high publicity, maximum exposure of a relationship with a closeted, queer actor from a queer TV show. And now she has to deal with everything that entails. Including critisism of the validity of the relationship, scrutiny on the attraction and desire they both lack towards each other, compared to what can be observed between Hudson and Connor.

I'm not sure how long this circus will go on, but I'm just wondering how can C and H can have such opposite direction when it comes to their career, cause I thought they are supposed to be "aligned". Currently one is totally offline while another is embroiled in a reality show. I hope they don't mess up s2 promo for us with this bullshit.

Well, a true and tested closeting tactic is to create a narrative where these two people possibly can't be interested in each other because they are so different. So they create an image of one of them as offline, "classy", disciplined, work-focused and the other as stunt-messy, chronically online, reactive, attention-seeking aka opposite images with opposite interests and goals.

People can't imagine they're actually together, when their images are in conflict. Been there, done that with Harry and Louis. The more their images are opposite, the less stunting is necessary. So when they employ one tactic, they can ease off with the other.

I really need them to abandon both the stunting tactic and the image seperation tactic, because, again, been there, done that. It's all going to end up with fandom wars and Hudson with an image and reputation that can't be saved.
