Huntik x H2O: Just add water
So... Recently I watched H2O: Just add water for the first time and I actually really like it. And I had these thoughts about what the Huntik characters would be like in the H2O: Just add water universe. So here's my idea:
Dante: senior in high school, popular, confident, a little cocky but a good guy. He saw a mermaid when he was younger and became pretty obsessed with anything mermaid related. He was bullied about it so he decided to stop talking about it and ended up becoming one of the cool kids but he secretly never stopped researching. His and Lok's families are friends.
Lok: sophomore, average teen, not marginalized but not popular either. Likes puzzles and exploring. One day, he was exploring Mako island and fell into the cave that leads to the moon pool and ends up becoming a merman. He finds this incredibly cool, however, he's a bit clumsy and has a hard time keeping the secret. He has water control powers but he's not that good at controlling them. It's a combination of his clumsiness and lack of control that leads to his secret being revealed to Sophie.
Zhalia: junior, keeps to herself, feisty and sarcastic when someone bothers her. She's actually the mermaid Dante saw all those years ago because she fell into the moon pool when she was little. She was an orphan that ran away from the orphanage and hid in a fisherman's boat and that's how she ended up in Mako island. She has water heating powers. Eventually she's taken back to the orphanage and is adopted by Klaus, a marine scientist working at the marine park. He's good to her, but she keeps her secret just in case.
Sophie: sophomore, Lok's crush, top student, comes from a wealthy family. Once she discovers Lok is a merman she's keen to investigate as much as possible and help him learn how to control his powers.
Zhalia also discovers Lok is a merman but keeps her distance until she has to warn him about the moon spell. Then it's kind of a weird thing where Zhalia and Sophie know Lok's secret, but Sophie doesn't know Zhalia's and Dante is also there and he crushes on Zhalia but he doesn't know any of their secrets even though his research sometimes overlap with their antics.
Eventually Klaus would find a clue about merpeople existing and capture them but upon discovering his daughter was one of them he'd let them go. (Pretty much like the end of the first season of H2O).
And yeah well that's basically it.
Zhalia: *doesn't really want Dante to leave*
Gareon: *steals Dante's coat*

After living in the streets as an orphan I imagine once she was adopted by Klaus she'd have wanted to learn how to mend her clothes. I also imagine most of the clothes she got then would be hand me downs from other organization members, so she'd have to fix them to fit her properly.
In episode 1x06 she mentions having a disguise kit, so I wouldn't be surprised if she actually made most of those items herself out of clothing she was given or thrifted.
Bonus: Just imagine a little Zhalia who just learned how to sew and got her first Titan making gareon a tiny lizard toy with scrap fabric (and him playing really carefully or just carrying it around so as to not shred it).

Also- i can totally imagine her making things for Gareon and him being careful with it. It’s so adorable 😍😍😍
But I also imagined another thing:
what if little Zhalia, not fully knowing Gareon’s abilities yet but knowing he’s a lizard, once it got cold outside (i mean, winters in the 80’/90’s? Cold af) decided to make him some clothes so he would be warm and not get sick?
Or
Zhalia once accidentally torn Klaus’s shirt or suit or sth, and in fear he would get angry decided to mend it by herself so the man wouldn’t notice? And Klaus obviously knows she torn his clothes, because she’s not good at hiding it yet, but doesn’t tell her and acts like nothing happened? (I like to think he was good to her, canon or not) and then he got her a proper sewing kit?
Just… Zhalia using her sewing abilities to help those she cared about at the same time still trying to come to terms she’s not alone anymore? And being scared that if she messes up they will leave her?
And then, one day, Dante’s coat gets torn, and the man seems sad (say it was his favorite) so she takes it and mends the way it isn’t noticeable what happened? And it becomes Dante’s even more favorite because there is something from Zhalia in it?
And maybe sometimes, she would see a kid on the streets that has something to mend, and she would help out? Just a little bit?

Gareon has a winter wardrobe now. Plus: Gareon using little Zhalia (and grown Zhalia) as a sunning spot and curling up under her t-shirt to sleep when he's cold.
I totally see the Klaus thing having happened, and i also like to think he was good to her, especially in the beginning (i have another little post talking about it).
*cries thinking about Zhalia helping those she cares about and not openly telling them because she just wants to see them happy*

Headcanon: Klaus wasn't actually bad/a mad scientist. (Because you can't convince me the way he looks and smiles at little Zhalia in the picture in her room isn't pure love and joy). He was originally a good person and scientist that ended up in the organization because the professor saw potential in him. He used Araknos' mind control powers on Klaus again and again until he eventually became the crazy, cruel man we know. However, after the return of Araknos to the spirit world and his de-petrification, he slowly started to regain his original mindset and sanity.
Zhalia: *flustered and covers Dante's mouth so he doesn't say anything about their relationship that makes her even more flustered*
Dante: *kisses the palm of her hand*
Zhalia: *gets more flustered*

Hi there! How's everything going? I hope you're all enjoying the holiday season.
I had meant to post this on Christmas, but I couldn't, so here it is. A little something I drew three years ago (omg so old). It was supposed to be something like a Christmas card, featuring Lok's great idea of dressing up Gareon as Rudolph. Let's say he didn't appreciate the gesture.
The text on the drawing is in Spanish 🇪🇸 because that's my mother tongue, but I'll leave the translation at the end of the post.
