Everyone has been feeling some type of way since the announcement earlier today of the cancellation of the anticipated July 9th launch of the character Valko and his main story update. I've seen several petitions floating around aiming at restoring the character to the game. We don't know at this stage whether any of the international backlash will be taken into account by the game developers.

Many people however have already spent real money on the game in anticipation of the character's release which means that whatever Infold does/doesn't do next, they are liable to suits based on False or Misleading Representations and Deceptive Marketing Practices in the State of Canada.

No, it doesn't matter that the game is developed by a company outside of Canada. No, you do not need a lawyer to pursue this avenue to get your money back and make a statement. If you are a citizen of Canada and spent any amount of real money on this game in anticipation of the release of Valko you can fill out this form right here, and let the Competition Bureau know. Companies are liable to up to $10,000,000 in damages on the first suit filed against them on these grounds.

Yes this is a very real possibility considering how untrustworthy Infold has been with all of their fake promises and statements.

I can write an essay on how ironic it is to be picking apart the appearance of a character whose sole purpose is to make you feel loved and cherished, regardless of how you look. But hey, Valko isn't real so we don't have to worry about his feelings, whatever.

Still, players who happen to like Valko and end up being harassed for that are very real, Valko's VAs who got death threats and in in the end lost their jobs are very, very real. And with their actions, Infold just made it clear all that is okay to them! In this fandom bullies get what they want, as long as they are loud and insufferable enough.

I am so devastated and sad and crushed and all that. About a fictional character. Yes. He's not real. But my emotions towards him are. This is not okay. I'm not okay.
