she falls in love with aang because he doesn’t just represent hope for the world but he also gives her back her lost childhood with his whimsy. she gets to be silly and childish with him and that’s so important for her.

good afternoon anon! umm, i may have been a little callous with that description, though i can't bring myself to change it as the loathing i feel for that aspect of the character's personality is a little too much to be considered normal. basically it's a personal preference that while i will write non-mc, i will not be following the concept. and i will also not be tagging my works with it to respect the readers who do like it.

the other woman syndrome is when one repeatedly ends up in a relationship with someone who is already — technically, in this case — commited. be it with someone else's soulmate, with someone who already has a crush, with someone who already loves someone else, etc. (to which the writers have written admirably, let me all remind you that. this is a post about my subjective feelings for non-mc the character.)

so yeah, i'm not going to write that kind of non-mc. i tend to self-insert in x readers *pretends to be shocked.* and i'm not about to write that concept when my first reaction is to hit everyone with a butter-sock. i'm too no-nonsense about that, too go take care of your own shit why's that boy coming to me like i'm his free-to-visit therapist? why's that man in relationship with me when he loves someone else? is that bonehead right on the head?

getting riled up just by talking about it (ˬᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈) i'm sorry to everyone, your dear author is too hot-headed for this concept.
