We found blood in her stool and per her blood work, she's having a severe allergic reaction to something. We're waiting back on a fecal test. She's on metronidazole for now and we'll start her on children's benedryl soon.

hello,

i got my labs for heidi back and there were more abnormalities than anticipated. it turns out shes a bit anemic and has stage 3 kidney disease, and is at risk of urinary stones due to a presence of calcium oxalate found in her urine. im going to have to start her on a phosphorous binder as well as subcutaneous fluids.

we still need to get her tested for hypertension. along with new prescriptions and needing to follow up in a month, its going to be a lot.

this cat is has been a source of stability for me over the past few years ive had her and i love her dearly, i know shes 17 years old now, but i would still do anything to get her healthy and happy, but it also means im going have a lot of medical debt hanging over my head and draining me month after month, which is going to make it really difficult for me to be able to move out eventually. any help is greatly appreciated.
