Hello hello! Time for a new about! Didn't feel like my old one was complete enough!

I'm Zenjamini! My name is Zen! My pronouns are He/Him and I'm 26! I'm several letters of the LGBTQ+ soup! [Trans, Pan/Bi, somewhere on the demi or ace spectrum]

[Please do not shorten my username in any other way, I don't really like being called "Zenja" or "mini"! friends can call me Zenjamin as a joke since that's where the user came from tho lol] I like to draw, write, read, make videos, and play video games! My current main fandoms are MHA and Pokemon! I also love reptiles, mostly snakes, pastel colors, and cute things. I do a looooot of oc x canon artwork so expect to see that here! My main mascot and sona is Shortcake! He's a little shapeshifting dragon who smells vaguely like strawberries and cream!

- Ren doesn’t like how the papers try and always guess about his quirk- they’re always bothering him asking what colors mean what, and he’s gotten to the point where he just answers randomly when asked.

-Ren as a pro hero probably ends up a perpetual sidekick. He doesn’t want to be in charge- he doesn’t even want to he here.

-… but his quirk is very useful for patrols! He probably does a lot of them. Since he has better control of his quirk in this AU, he probably has better range of sensing things.

-I’ve been thinking about how he would meet All Might in this AU- and I think he just ends up in proximity by working on a case or something. I think All Might approaches him at some point like hi. Why are you so scary over there. Whats up with that.

…. Because I think Ren in this AU gets a preconceived notion of how All Might is? Since Ren followed his parents wishes in this AU he probably got a constant stream of “you should be like All Might”. He probably has a bit more resentment for him then canon Ren (whos parents stopped saying he should be like specific heroes when he got into college). This would change when he gets to know him, of course.

I find it really hard to get in the mood to Create Things before or after work (after im mentally/physically drained and before im in Waiting Mode) so having that extra day is going to make a huuuuge difference in time i can Actually Spend Making Things… and since i get outta work in the evening i dont have to run all of my errands on my days off!!!

Given I’m currently working on three comics and a youtube channel and have a few games I wanna play so I still have to see how i want to divide that new time but thats my own demise when it comes to starting new projects LOL. The comics very in length tho, ETU is my impossibly long project that ive thought about since i was 12 and decided to draw first (dont do that), His Hero maxes out at around 20 chapters and (secret third thing) is a collab which is relatively short so!! ETU is really a forever project haha

Ren isn’t very expressive normally- its usually only when hes feeling something enough for his quirk to activate. Once it does he’s pretty expressive, regardless of what the emotion is. (This isn’t to say he doesn’t make faces at all before his quirk activates, he just has a bit of a resting ._. Face normally)

When Ren is trying to push down how he feels, you can definitely tell. Like if hes sad about something but trying not to cry, you can see a dark blue aura fading in and out until he cant take it anymore, then it would become a solid color and he would start sobbing. Its not only emotionally draining for him to do this- cause of his quirk, its physically exhausting and maybe even a little painful to try and force it down.

When Ren gets embarrassed he gets reallllly red. Like neck ears and face red.

Certain strong emotions have additional effects on his body- getting too scared (like a panic attack or near death experience) makes his vision blur and he starts hearing static. Being super mad starts making him overheat, etc. its Not Fun. Positive emotions would probably have nice effects tho!

When someone else spends a lot of time feeling a certain way, their “at rest” aura can start taking on one color. So like, normally if Ren is looking at you and you aren’t feeling any specific way, it shows up as a bunch of different colors kinda blurring together. But on someone like, say Bakugo, it would generally be more red with how often he feels irritated and angry.

Ren can very much tell when most people lie to him- even when someone’s good at lying they have other types of tells, like being happy when you fall for a lie. He’s not very easy to trick because of this.

Ren doesn’t like forcing people to talk about their emotions- usually it just makes someone more upset when he pesters them for answers- but he does sometimes speak before he thinks? Like he’s definitely seen Toshinori enter a room with a sad aura and been like “are you ok?” Before he says anything else. Sometimes it can probably get a little freakily close to mind reading if he knows a person well enough. He could start sensing a confused/frustrated aura and go “your keys are on the counter next to the fridge” and you start wondering if his quirk really is reading your mind (but he just knows your on the way to work so he would have a good guess).

He’s bad at explaining exactly how he knows certain things or what exactly counts as an emotion or what exact colors are what emotion. Like trying to get him to explain the different shades of pink different kinds of love have- even if you give him a bunch of paints he’s like “its kinda like this one? Oh but like; its slightly darker if the person is also feeling sad about it. But that could also mean they’re unhappy with something else if its more this color.” Its kind of like asking someone how they breath- its so normal for him that sometimes he forgets its part of his quirk and not something everyone sees.
