Even though the characters are intentionally designed to be creepy and unlikable, the fact that they’re only really accepted if they’re cute little lambs, goats, or cats makes Pride Month’s campaign for a world without discrimination seem like an uphill battle.
If this is how it is in games, discrimination probably won’t go away…

There are quite a few non-binary characters in COTL.
I first learned the term “non-binary” through COTL, and when I first heard it, I took it super positively, thinking, “This is such a convenient setting for a dating sim where you can date both men and women!!!”

I believe that a romantic relationship (?) or marriage between a Lamb and a Goat believer is less a blessing and more a source of constraints that bind them even more tightly than their faith does.

It’s great how they come across as mechanical, emotionless, and self-centered superior beings.
The fact that they's getting a little annoyed with the lamb that’s disrupting the Aether might mean that the Mystic Sailor has suffered some kind of disadvantage.
All followers other than the named characters are non-binary.
While the named characters have genders, they can pursue romantic relationships just as freely as non-binary followers—that’s one of the great things about the Cult of the Lamb.
Whether it’s between women, between men, or even between former enemies, followers can come together in love to create a cult of “Love and Peace” ☺️
It’s interesting, though, that even if they aren’t blood-related, romantic relationships between siblings are strictly forbidden.
In my cult, Shamura is in a relationship with the collaboration character Webber, which makes me wonder if they just has a thing for forbidden love.
The fact that the lamb is non-binary is a convenient plot device that allows it to be loved and praised by everyone.
