Classic white with the addition of blue succulents to match the maids. The hessian gives it that laid back beach feel. Had lots of fun making these. 

Sarah & Ryan Schoeman ~ Wedding 21 March 2014

We spent a month in South Africa for my partner Dannys best mates wedding earlier this year. We all helped build, design, forage, arrange, paint for days prior to the big day and I must say I have never seen such a beautiful wedding. 

All ferns, moss, plants etc were foraged from the acres of beautiful forests on the family property near Haenertsburg, Limpopo.  

A family member of theirs (with impeccable taste) had organised all of the layout, and no detail had been left out. They had furniture built, an entire bar and green wall built, turned bails of hay into tables and comfy couches, Screen printed the hessian used for cushions, hung mossy plant balls from the ceiling and so much more. 

Back in November I drove to the country to meet Lindsey and lend a hand at her flower patch in the lush Macedon Ranges. We drank tea, planted Zinnia seedlings, pulled weeds, ate a delicious veggie lunch and did a whole lotta talking about flowers which we both call our passion.

Its people like Lindsey that make me love the industry I have chosen and its just so nice to meet people who have followed their dreams. Plus I do love getting my hands dirty. 

The patch is called The Little Flower Farm and I will hopefully be seeing alot more of Lindseys beautiful blooms in 2014. 

On my departure she hand picked me a gorgeous bunch to take home and the smell of sweet peas wafted through my house for days and days.
