Okay so someone I am very close to goes to Judge Barefoot Sanders Law Magnet has a service dog he takes to school. It was fine to one of his teachers started making false claims about the dog being a distraction to the class. This teacher then claimed that he was not qualified to have a service dog and should not be able to bring the dog to school. He needs his dog to help him remember to take his medications, help with panic attacks cause by severe anxiety and PTSD amongst other things. Recently he was sent home with a folder that his parents were supposed to fill out. This document asked questions about his medical history amongst other personal questions. One example of the questions essentially asked āhas youāre child ever experienced any sort of physical or sexual trauma? If so please provide the date, age of youāre child, and a detailed description of the events.ā Even if that was legal (which itās not) thatās pretty messed up. Other questions involved asking if he had any physical disabilities and asked to list any mental disorders he had. What this school is doing is entirely illegal and should not be aloud to happen. Please help me spread the word and bring awareness to what they are trying to do. Please share this with everyone you know and help make them realize they canāt get away with this.
