Sorry for being a bit absent on social media, folks I’ve been really focused on finishing the part I started coding. When things don’t work out, I get obsessed with fixing them until they finally run haha! I’m still at it…  I can already say it won’t be ready this month. My new expectation is around the middle of next month BUT that’s not a guarantee. (Please be patient with me ;u;)

Now for the progress update! Almost half of one of the tents is already coded, though I don’t have many sprites ready for this scene yet. Creating new sprites always takes a bit longer, and it’s the part I test the most it’s been a lot of work, and honestly I find drawing more tiring.

Doctor has already had his look adjusted twice during testing, Jester only once, and possibly each of them (Jester, Doctor, and Ticket Taker) will get a little animation.

I think I can already say there’s only about 13% left to go before finishing both the coding and the art.

This week’s progress was a little different, I had a series of variables to fix.

I added the button for Day 2 in the menu, along with a small introduction so you can continue the game without having to go through Day 1 again. This feature is still pretty rough, just so the testers can check the game in its current state.

Now there’s another short scene with Pierrot I’m working on, before I can finally start introducing the other members. So many sprites will need to be made for them… They’re definitely going to be the most demanding part, and to think this first half was already quite a challenge! Check out the menu and more:

Sure! Here are a few facts for you:

He’s terrifyingly observant. He can tell when your breathing shifts or when your heartbeat speeds up.

He’s super intense. He tends to blur feelings and senses. When he stares at you for too long, he’s torn between wanting to hold you, claim you… or devour you.

And the most random part: He’s got a sweet tooth!

I decided to make a post with some of the questions I get the most. Some have already been answered, but in this post it’ll be easier to find, right?

About their height: I have a small chart I use when making the sprites. They’re in the same order as the bad ending:

You also ask A LOT about the size of… their body parts haha As you know, they’re not human, so yes, those parts are bigger too, and each one has a different design. I PLAN to draw this, but only after the update is released. About the game:

When will the update be released? I really wanted to release it this month (since it’s my month /o/), but I can’t give a date yet. There’s about 20% left to finish coding (around 25 dialogue pages remaining).

Once I finish coding with the sprites, I’ll move on to music and sound effects. That’s when I’ll be able to estimate a date, and I’ll let you know when I get there.

About translations: The update will include: English, Portuguese, and Chinese.

Someone volunteered to translate into Russian, and another person into Spanish. I haven’t been able to properly talk with them about these translations yet (since I haven’t coded all the dialogue), so keep in mind those languages are a possibility, but please be patient.

How many days will the game have? Haha! That’s a tricky question. See, the second day of the update is huge, and it just goes deeper into the story while introducing the rest of the cast. So there will definitely be a “day 3,” though I’m not sure how far beyond that it will go.

Will the whole cast have a romance route? I have a lot of endings planned, and making the other characters romance options is a possibility. I really like the idea, but I can’t promise anything. Do I want to do it? Yes! Will it be possible? I’ll have to test it in the script after finishing day 2, so I just need a bit more time before I can be certain.

A bit of context: this comic takes place quite a long time ago. They were younger and still figuring out how to make things work in the circus. The first version of their outfits wasn’t comfortable, since their bodies are different, which led to the redesign and custom-made clothes for all of them after this incident.
