Because the music here was weird. It didn't play the beginning of the void scene nor did it play till the end it just appeared for a moment and then poof gone.

And i think that's interesting when you realise that the only time this music played was when Durin was encouraged to follow his wishes to question what HE wants.

And that's Freminet's dream.

Durin here doesn't even know what his wish is here but he is encouraged to keep moving forward to find out what he wants. It is as Anya said pick up the pen and write his own faith and Freminet also want people who are lost in a dark place to find their own miracle.

Just like Anya it's Freminet's idea to finish the story. To give it a happy ending.

But like Anya after his involvement it's her decision to continue painting. Again pick up the pen to continue the story.

This is why I think the music played here. I think Freminet's role in the Thelexie Event is an inverse of Anya's role here.

Because here Anya says that all of her fictional characters are like her children referring to the author and the love she has for her creations.

But Freminet is not the author but the reader. Unlike the author Freminet doesn't have an inner inside on these characters. The sense of familiarity isn't there with these characters. He looks to fictional characters out of guidance but also because he has a deep desire to understand these characters.

You have to remember Freminet didn't fix the broken clockwork items in his house out of a noble goal but because he had this deep desire for his 'guests' to wake up.

Freminet at his core is driven by curiosity. Freminet wants to understand and that's why he continues to try to find the meaning of the story because he truly believes that stories could help others that's why he continues to seek comfort and guidance from fictional characters.

He has a similar belief to Anya but unlike Anya Freminet believes in fictional characters not because he created them but because those fictional characters are the ones that guided him out of a dark place.

He is the reader who always has faith in everyone including the fictional characters. That's why when it comes to encouragement the Thelexie motif is heard and the Thelexie Event was the first time Freminet was able to change someone's faith and give them a happier ending just like Durin.
