What does chumhandle mean

A chumhandle is the name for usernames in the instant messaging application Pesterchum. Currently, a version of Pesterchum can be found at pesterchum.xyz

Chumhandles are composed of two “sections” where every letter is lowercase except for the first letter of the second section (camel case). The first letter of each section create initials, which are traditionally either EB, UU, or some combination of the letters GCAT. For example, ghastlyConnivings is a chumhandle that follows this format. A chumhandle can technically have any initials, but traditionally they only follow this format.

One could argue the EB format its own is not valid for chumhandles, but rather, because John/June used to have a GCAT chumhandle but changed it, she was granted a sort of "exception" to the standard chumhandle rules; as long as you had a valid chumhandle for a significant amount of time (let's put the baseline at maybe 6 months?), you can then change it to an invalid chumhandle later and still have it be considered as valid as long as it still follows the standard "structure" (twoWords, stylized like that). I propose this should be called Egbert's Exception.
