It's so fun nerding out with you, so thanks for this! Having seen the choreography, have there been any purely non-verbal, non-musical moments that have knocked your socks off?
This is such a good question! Hereās some of my favorites:
Hercules Mulligan striking a pose onĀ āI think your pants look hotā
The fact that they actual take a shot on the word āshotā when Burr singsĀ āif you talk, youāre gonna get shotā
Hamiltonās dance of celebration when after Elizaās father shakes his hand
The entirety of the staging/choreography of Winterās Ball/Helpless/Satisfied, especially how they use the turntable toĀ ārewindā
The way Hamilton and Laurens look at each other at the end of the Laurens Interlude (before Non-Stop - itās not on the cast album)
Jefferson encouraging the audience to cheer for him at the beginning of Whatād I Miss
Jeffersonās mic drop after his verse in Cabinet Battle #1
Philip and Alexander hugging after the rap in Take a Break
Burr on top of the table during Room Where It Happens, and he jumps and the table cloth is pulled out from under him before he lands
Eliza pulling her hand away from Hamiltonās while heās trying to console her after Philipās death
Eliza taking Hamiltonās hand in Itās Quiet Uptown
The look on Burrās face when Hamilton endorses Jefferson instead of him
Hamilton kissing Elizaās hand at the end of Best of Wives and Best of Women
All of the staging/choreography during Hamiltonās monologue in World Was Wide Enough
Elizaās gasp at the end of the show
There are a lot of awesome choreography moments that would be really difficult to describe, too. The visuals in the show are just awesome in general.
