My biggest red flag is the fact that I'm halfway through The Last Olympian and my favorite character is still Luke Castellan

So, we all know that Bruce Banner got complete and totally screwed in Endgame because of all the character development that was just- decided already happened. Now, there's no undoing the dumb mistake that was made BUT here's what I think is the best way to fix it:

Superman was an immigrant.

Alright, that's it, I'm going to say it. Captain America would be disappointed in us. Captain America stands up for the little guy. Little guys like, oh I don't know, people or color. Trans people. Immigrants. He's against bullies. Bullies like people who would make legal policies that affect a grand total of ten people. Bullies that take credit for the work of others while denying their own shortcomings. Bullies that use their platform to spread hate and fear. And of course, Captain America fights Nazis. Yep, there you go. He would be punching Musk, a man who came from a place where the Nazi party is extremely prevalent and gave a Nazi salute to America, a man who has gotten all of his wealth by stepping on the little guy, and a man who bought a whole social media platform so he could bully people online, right in the face. Captain America stands for American values, sure. But first and foremost, he stands up for minorities and fights bullies. That's what American values have always been advertised to be.

I'm rewatching Age of Ultron, and you know what's great about Tony? In nearly every movie he's in, Tony Stark is the main villain. In Iron Man he fights against the company he created. In Iron Man 2 he fights the evils put into the world because of his designs. In Avengers he spends the whole movie arguing with his team, in Iron Man 3 he puts his family in danger because of his fear, in Avengers: Age of Ultron he knowingly creates the AI that he expects to hold the world at gunpoint and works to keep that from happening, in Captain America: Civil War he's literally the antagonist, in Spider-Man Homecoming he causes people to lose their jobs and turn to criminal activity, in Avengers: Infinity War he actually isn't the villain, and finally, in Avengers: Endgame, he puts so much effort into protecting what he has that he forgets to save what he's lost until the very end, when he finally dies a hero. Iron Man spends so much time fighting against what Tony Stark has done in the past, and that's what makes him the perfect character; he isn't perfect.

For anyone who happens to also be keeping an eye on my "The Sokovia Amendment" on ao3, I would like to say I'm sorry for not posting in six months. I would ALSO like to say that you do not want me posting more of that series. I started that series at a time when I felt helpless. I started it because I was scared of everything happening. That series is not about being Spider-Man. It's not even about being enhanced. If you look close enough, you'll be able to find the parallels, but I won't say what it's about and take the journey of finding it away from anyone. Basically, if that series is being updated, it's because there's a reason to be scared.

If Tony Stark learned anything from over the years, it's that sometimes the most noble thing you can do is walk away from a losing fight.
