My outcome for the creation of a logo for Sony. i came up with various outcomes and really didn't know what to do with all of them so i presented them together and the outcome was very pleasing.

Focusing on single videos...

Could you see this kind of work in collaboration with a brand and how? 

Possibly a hair, makeup or clothing brand that a bit out there. More makeup than anything as the freedom to create and really push boundaries with colours and styles could relate to that. Putting on a face/mask/makeup = choosing your avatar/character.

Which exhibit used moving image in the most thought-provoking way?

this exhibit was really interesting, during the video the sound was very simple. like a conversation or a vocal description was being given. But it was more about the complete package, the game/cartoon like nature, it was almost like in games where you choose your player/avatar and they all have their different phrases or introductions. i thought that was really interesting and cool.  Are you interested in learning new types technology and how to design spaces? 

I really like the idea of designing spaces more towards the branding side. It probably wouldn't be this artsy but a bit more commercial and wider in who would engage in it. Branded spaces for brands, whether that be interactive or commercial like pop ups.

Who did you feel the exhibitions target audience was?

I think this mainly appealed to design/art lovers and students. I saw quite a few students. Possibly sound and motion related areas as well.

The exhibition review

Which piece in either exhibition did you feel used sound in the most interesting way? 

this video was a good example, mainly pieces with actual talking, unless you know the meaning of the sound it can get a bit lost on you but for the most part the visuals were more captivating to me than with the addition of the sounds. Do you feel that there was a clear narrative in the work? Did you like the United Visual Artists show as a whole?

I wouldn't say they were all clear specifically but it was clear that all were trying to tell a story or evoke a feeling with company of sound. As a whole it wasn't really my thing, interesting pieces that delivered some relaxing thought provoking feelings ...continue in next post

Tinkerbell to me is a big part of my childhood. Here i was just playing around with effects in Premiere to make the video a bit more nostalgic and somewhat like the inspiration videos posted before.
