Our society is constantly rushing through the day without looking right or left, stuck in our strategy to develop the world. Where is the spirit of charity gone? We simply forgot about other people struggling on the streets right in front of our eyes and we even do not think of wasting any minute to offer our help. Last Friday I was on my way to the bus stop when suddenly an old man fell as he missed a step by taking the stairs. Due to my hurry and all those people on the street, I threw a quick look backwards to check if he was fine, but then I saw this old man lying on the ground. Do you think that anyone run towards him?    I rushed back to help him to stand up up again as he did not manage to get up by himself. I was deeply shattered by all those ignorant people since they were only staring at him. Is this some kind of piss-take? When I was on my way back home I was disgusted by their facial expression and if their thoughts were spoken out loud they would have sounded like: Hopefully someone ELSE is going to help him. What is wrong with our society or am I exaggerating?

The truth is, we are not afraid of being in love. We are only afraid of not being loved in return.
