    “Forty?” He blinks in astonishment. That’s over half of the flavors, isn’t it? Wow, incredible. “Well, I’m sure you will soon. You’re pretty close already, I think.” Thirty something flavors to go can be considered close, right? 

    Now that he thinks about it, he hasn’t really tried anything other than vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry. Maybe he should be more venturous when choosing. 

"Thanks. Not sure if I want to knock another flavor off the list or enjoy an old favorite. It’s always hard to choose!" She has a lot of practice holding up the line.

With enough walking to have taken place, the two finally arrive at the ice cream parlor! Rather nice looking place, though it has to be cause Yuki doesn’t like eating at rundown garbage dumps. The floors inside were white and black tile squares, matching the clean look of the white walls. The metal tables were lined with red velvet seats on either side, and in the back of the room is where the service counter is where all refrigerated display boxes of ice cream are!

    “Wow, that is a lot.” Does the ice cream shop that he and his other friend visit even have that many? He hadn’t really paid attention to how many flavors there were but it probably was a lot less, incredible. 

"Not yet, but I've gotten up to 40. I want to try them all eventually!" She goes to this place a lot, if it weren't obvious. She wouldn't be surprised if that particular ice cream parlor was still running because of her. Ahaha how narcissistic.

"...and welcome back, Prince Oliver."

Another me?! This is great! While millions of Rins, Lens, and Olivers are common, Yuki never sees any lookalikes of herself. To say she was pleased would be an understatement.

    Listening attentively, she uses the description to form a picture in her mind’s eye. A quarry, huh? What do those look like again? Not pleasant by the sound of it. She omits any attempts of imagining it from the image in her head. Ah! What a great place!

    Family, huh? The closest she has are Vocaloids created by the same company that made her. Although, she’s not close to most of them, not even her programmed favorite teacher who’s technically her counterpart.

    To visit those who are actually related to you by blood—how nice though for an android such as her, it’s a distant, impossible dream.

    Oblivious to the falseness of the smile, she returns one of her own.

This is different though -they're both paying attention because they want to talk to each other, a wonderful feeling!

She didn't hear what was mumbled, her thoughts still sticking to Father, but knew there was something she didn't hear. Ultimately, she didn't force the issue.
