BEN PLATT !

soooo i went to the matinee in SF on 12.22.18 and i thought i would share some of my lovely observations because why not

1) STEPHEN. CHRISTOPHER. ANTHONY. oh my LORD he was absolutely wonderful and i walked in thinking that i would compare him to mlb (who i saw in April in nyc) but NO he was absolutely amazing as Evan and everything i had hoped for for the tour

2) the show seemed more Funny??? i felt like the audience was connecting through humor a lot more than when i saw it before and there were laughs at parts that i didn’t expect there to be??? but i LOVED IT???? anyway, i am here for the laughs and it was so uplifting tbh

3) the CHEMISTRY!!!!!!!!!!!! maggie mckenna is a literal goddess and her and stephen christopher anthony (yes i love that he has 3 names) was absolutely adorable and HER VOICE!!!!! PEOPLE WE DO NOT TALK ABOUT HOW BEAUTIFUL HER VOICE IS NEARLY ENOUGH!!!!

4) ok so yes i have seen many bootlegs and you know the little subtle things that mike or ben would do (like the quotations mike did when he sang “only man that i ‘love’ is my dad” part in sincerely me) maybe it’s just me but small stuff like that was missing but i also didn’t find myself missing it too much i think i’m just used to the way i’ve seen it the most but NEVERTHELESS I DONT HAVE ANY ACTUAL COMPLAINTS OK
