Thoughts of an Unpublished Writer

So ... I see very little Ves content. Like, some very beautiful cosplayers and some amazing art, but very, very few fanfictions specifically about Ves? And, like, especially (and I realize fanfiction is very personal and such, but I doubt my tastes are THAT rare?) Ves x Iorveth? That seems to be a missed opportunity, given the fact that apparently Ves was kidnapped by an unidentified leader of the Scoia’tael and then freed by Roche? Why not ... have it be ... Iorveth? You wouldn’t even need to ship Ves x Iorveth, you can still have your Roche x Iorveth, but they could meet because Roche is trying to free Ves? And then Iorveth is pissed Roche stole his favorite pretty toy? And then they fight over her but don’t really fight because she’s just a stand-in for their affection for each other? And like, I DON’T ship Roche x Iorveth, but this is how you could ship them AND have more Ves content AND fill that missed opportunity about her kidnapping. I thought fanfiction writers and readers love some angst and rescueing. 

Plus - my dirty little mind does ship Ves x Iorveth and I’m very confused that I should be the only one. 

PLUS - there’s very little Ves content in general! She’s amazing? In a patriarchal world, she convinced an all male, special forces military group, the Blue Stripes, and their leader Vernon Roche that she would be a great addition to their team, so much that she eventually becomes Roche’s second in command? Like, how awesome is that?
