Spike is definitely a lot younger and more reckless, whereas Ves is kind of a vision of His Archetype if he lived long enough to become old and jaded, but they share a lot of DNA. I love when a character is always running from the past but is tethered to it and will choke themselves on the rope trying to escape it, you know?
