A doll's last duty from Julie Yllogique on Vimeo.
I'm currently attending a ToonBoom Harmony course and the assignment was to try and make whatever we wanted for 3 days so.... I made an accidental Skydoll-esque retelling of the short movie 'Khorkhoreh' I worked on a few years ago. Everything made in Toonboom Harmony over 3 days from board to compositing, then very lightly composited again and edited in After Effects
Character design by my dear friend Juliette (who also came up with the title !) instagram.com/julio_piratier/ (here is the actual design instagram.com/p/Bc3KbY5Fw77/?taken-by=julio_piratier )

Bonjour !

Whatâs better than a first date in summer ?
Iâm so happy Riposte finally aired cause I can now draw Kagami fanart after a year of waiting! So meet my new ship (Chlogami, I guess ?), and brace yourselves because thereâs more Kagami where that came from, I have a LOT of Kagami-wardrobe feelings and I am not gonna spare you.
Also I forgot to watermark so please donât repost, reblog from here or my twitter, thanks :)

Hey ! Do you have tips for beginners animator who have difficult to draw a character in animation ? (Animate a character who arent my design, respecting style, etc... ) Thanks !
Hello !Well to be honest keeping a character on model and keeping a consistent style is for me the hardest part in animation⌠I still have a lot of trouble doing it even now, but here are my tips :- take some time to get to know the character before diving in to the animation. Analyze the proportions, the style gimmicks. If you are lucky to have access to reference sheets, or previous finished shots of this character, study them thoroughly.- donât try and do everything at once ! Focus on the animation first - while trying to keep at least proportions somewhat consistent with the model, obviously if you animate a slender realistic figure for a really cartoony character it will not match. Then, put it back on model.- Use whatever is available ! It isnât âcheatingâ to reuse a key or part of a drawing that has been done for this character already. It will help you keep everything consistent with a healthy base (just make sure to use stuff that has been approved, if it is in a production setting) - Focus on your keys, have them revised by a superior if you can, ask advice on them so that they are the best on-model they can be. It will make inbetweening so much easier. Besides, if the keys are on model, basically everything will ~feel~ on model even if breakdowns and inbetweens are less consistent. If everything is somewhat-on-model-but-not-really, the whole shot will feel a bit weird.-If you have the opportunity to work on the character layout step of production, do so ! It has helped me improve my animation skills tremendously, because character layout is nothing but being on model :â) (what a nightmare haha, but so helpful in the end)- âOn modelâ is not the only thing that will make your shot look cohesive with the others. Study the animation style which can be just as important, if not more.- Donât sweat it that much, in the professional world you will most likely always have a lead to help you with that. They will be more acquainted with the characters than you, and they will be able to give you advice and point out what you tend to draw wrong.- The more you will try out and emulate different styles, the more your eye will gain this analytical angle. With every new style you try on, your skill will grow exponentially because each style will inform your skill on the others ! Itâll come to you with practice, keep going and donât give up !Thatâs all for me :)
Sukeban Deka Ladybug ! Lunchbreak doodle that kinda went a bit too farÂ
Your layout work in Wakfu is amazing!, and it actually helped me understand much better how layouting works (I'm kinda saddened that it's after I turned in my horrible layouts for my first year short film)but hopefully I'll be able to execute better in the future!
Every movie is different ! When you have a big team that you are not in contact with that takes on the work after you (like on wakfu) you need precise layouts. But if the one animating afterwards is you or a small team if people that work right next to you, it is not as necessary :)
Little Inktober with a new (?) ship I call LadyBee (and I forgot to draw Ladybugâs earring..)
Aaaaaand thatâs it :) that was basically all of my work on wakfu season 3. Now stay tuned for the netflix broadcast which is less than a month away ! all posts

Almost done ! Here comes the most intense part of the episode (and of the season ?), Echo helping Evangelyne bring her child into the world ! Nice challenges on Evangelyneâs extremes expressions, but I had real trouble with Flopin ! He has a weird head °_°
Like most of your other messages, I found you via Event0. Unlike most of the creepers, I'm a female animator/illustrator and would love to talk about materials/techniques (what paper were you using for your sketches in October 2016? I want it). Thanks, Susie
Well I'd love to talk about it but you're on anon !The paper I used for Inktober 2016 is from a Canson sketch book, big&orange named "XL sketch". It is not ideal for anything wet but it does have a nice texture.
