Narumiya took a deep breath, the air filling his lungs cold and crisp, hinting at the winter most definitely on its way. He adjusted his cap and his sunglasses, making sure his disguise was still on point, and finally risked a glance inside the bullpen. He sighed, a mix of relief and disappointment, when he realized it was empty save for the two first-year pitchers currently throwing into practice nets. Sawamura was as noisy as ever, shouting encouragements disguised as threats at his teammate. Furuya Satoru was doing his best to ignore them, which resulted in louder yelling and even more shouting coming from the southpaw. They look stupid, Narumiya thought, snorting.

But nevermind them. Miyuki Kazuya, that bastard, was still nowhere in sight. Where the hell was that damn catcher? Narumiya had already looked everywhere around the training fields, in the cafeteria, and even inside the baths! He pouted, annoyed. He had gone through the trouble of coming all the way to Seido to see him and even had had to find a disguise to make sure he wouldn’t stand out among the usual crowd surrounding the school grounds during weekends. “Tch.”
