Two more doodle trades on Neopets! A hella-cool tiger lady and a so-cute tomboyish spotted uni kid in her human form (because I failed at my anthro horse attempt so hard). Practicing my quick humanoid drawing + prob the very first anthro art I did in years haha.

And for the coloring, to put it in the simplest way, my process is:

1. Get the idea of what looks good and the ability to decide if something looks good. 

2. Bravely put in different colors and check if the picture looks good or have potential, and just retry if it don’t.

To put it with more details, I usually rely on multiple methods! Nowadays my choices of colors mostly come from my own experiences with them and the “I feel this will work” thing haha. For me the basic study of color fundamental and color wheel helped a LOT at the beginning - when I didn’t get how to color at all (There is an extension for Photoshop CC called Coolorus and it basic provide the wheels for you if anyone is interested in and use Photoshop to draw digital art), and also the “dare to put crazy color on and see how it will look” thing, as the worst will happened is to try again (not to mention I can always use Hue/Saturation in PS to wheel all the way around to see which color works the best XD), at the end I get the experience of which color works well with which another one and the chance of bad-looking combination will decrease. So many times I'm not really “choosing” colors but just “trying” the possibility that I consider might work and keep adding more colors in with the same process until I “feel” it’s enough xD.

Study and reference from photo helps me a lot too when I struggle! So as studying from other artists’ arts that I found amazing and learning how they solve the problems with colors. Referencing always help artists so much.

Of course, I still have a whole lot to learn on color and everything wise and there could be a lot of much better way to choose colors used by other artists (and I did ruin my colors a lot of time too in secret haha)! But thanks again for liking my art! And have a nice day too! ^u^
