if you were to pick your three favorite pet styles of all time, what would they be? (bonus: do you have a least favorite?)
I'm not going to lie, I don't usually look at pet styles often outside of reviews because I prefer to customize my pets, so I'm not overly familiar with all of them (especially because there's literally over 3,000 of the things).
This might be cheating because they already existed, but I am a huge fan of the some of the nostalgic styles, such as the faerie Xwee and Maraquan Gelert above. Toppling the godforsaken UC system was one one of the best things new TNT ever did, and it's really nice to bring pets that suffered from customization back.
If you want stuff that isn't just pre-conversion art, I do really like the birch Woodland Aisha style. I have no feelings at all towards the converted colour, but giving it the lovely loafing artwork and then adding the birch twist really makes me like it. I also like quite a few of the prismatic recolours (abyssal being one of my favs, both because it's pretty and because it makes sense for water-based pets).
As for least favorites...this is probably a very hot take, but I don't like any of the baby crosspaints, both because A) I'm just not into baby pets in general, and B) I really hate having pet styles that don't have a converted equivalent colour. Also, is this like, a valid crosspaint in-universe or not (keeping in mind that the baby colour seems to be different than just a regular Neopet that is a baby)? And even tossing all that aside, I also just don't like the gigantic-headed look TNT applies to most of these.
