I think pathfinder has playable pixies?

As far as I’m aware, playable pixies in Pathfinder are about two feet tall, which puts them on the lower end of the Small size category. A two inch tall character – which is about where a Minish/Picori PC would weigh in – would be Fine in Pathfinder terms (i.e., two size categories below Tiny); this poses a number of unique challenges.

Do what you’re suggesting: Make the whole party Tiny race, and have THEM as Medium, with almost every creature being Large by comparison. Mouseworld. Somehow, both. And it would be amazing, And in defiance of all laws of physics, but still.

It is really disappointing that Mega pokemon were just a temporary thing and we can assume Gigantamax forms are as well. I really genuinely liked the idea of pokemon teams packing “secret weapons” or unexpected transformations. They should’ve made them all permanent but you only get one of them per team, like a mega OR a gigantamax/dynamax. Then they could come out with other goofy stuff like that but it all takes up the same single slot so you never know what your opponent’s surprise trump card is going to be. Pokemon fusions? Pokemon+trainer fusions? Powered up de-evolutions? Mech armor for your pokemon? Big ghostly jojo-stand type things some pokemon can make? Some people hate that kind of ultra-gimmicky stuff but I honestly only care about the fact that it means you get more monster designs and more ways to mix up teams so I was honestly 100% behind them piling on whatever absurd shark-jumps they wanted… as long as got to keep them at least.

I admit, i’m just happy they kept Regional Variants. I liked Mega Evolutions, but they didn’t really GRAB me in the way regional variants did, ya know? The idea of Pokemon adapting to fit different environments tickles my speculative biologist bone, I guess. I love it when evolution, like, actual, real-world Darwinian evolution, is applied to fictional creatures.

To some people in the comments, i’d like to note: Damian being Asian might not be that big an issue. Batman ‘66 was actually very progressive for its time, portraying Batman and Robin as allies to then-current Hippie movement. And it was willing to put its money where its mouth was, casting-wise: They had a Hispanic Joker and a Black Catwoman. In the 60s, I remind you. Hell, fanboys TODAY would be freaking out at that.

There’s so many freaking characters now whose ONLY toy or figure or statue or literally anything at all is a Funko Pop so if you love that character you just also have to love giant box heads with doll eyes and it sucks, even if you like that aesthetic it feels like such a sad waste of character rights. When I die my ghost is gonna go straight back in time to haunt whoever’s responsible for that. I’m coming for you Johnny Funko mark my words

The weird thing, a  part of me likes Funko Pops from a design standpoint. The way they can make so many different characters still look recognizable even with such a limited, simple aesthetic to work with is actually kinda impressive. The idea of trying to minimize a character’s design to the barest possible essentials, while still keeping them recognizable “them” is...Sorta cool. I get your point, though.

Yep. The Pinocchio connection is my favorite, and yes, that is a thing that happens. In fact, Pinocchio lying in pursuit of his acting career is the context of the first nose-growing scene.

People are definitely more critical of weird sexually exploitative stuff in video games these days (and that’s a good thing!), but it’s also the case that many video games have legitimately been getting worse about it. Yeah, there’s always been a certain level of it, so it may not be super-obvious if you’re not paying attention to the particulars, but I literally watched one of my favourite video game franchises go from “clearly adult women who are maybe showing more skin than is strictly practical” to “squeaky-voiced adolescents running about in sexy lingerie” over the course of a decade. The popular narrative of Political Correctness Gone Mad™ notwithstanding, folks aren’t merely finding things to take offence at in material that had previously largely flown under the radar – much of the grossness that’s driving present criticism of the video game industry is stuff we haven’t seen before, at least not at this level.

Yep. Heck, 80s video games had more tasteful female protags then the present.
