The question of what defines a true "tumblr sexyman" has plagued people's minds for ages. But from my own observations I have made a list of common traits most tumblr sexymen possess, and I will prove that Diplomator has them, and thus qualifies to count as a real tumblr sexyman.

Anton angst is a recognised genre of both fic and art. We've been torturing him with grief (and other fun things) since 2019. The series came out in 2020.

He's shippable with practically everyone in the series. It all makes sense, it's all interesting. He also fumbled fucking everybody, because he's a dumbass asshole loser.
Now's the time to bring up some serious arguments. What's the one thing all iconic tumblr sexymen are infamous for? That's right!

In part 1 I've talked about Dushki (the ship name of Anton and his dead not-quite-boyfriend Olegsey) a little, but I'm gonna talk about them again. Because you can't talk about Diplomator without talking about Dushki. They are Diplomator together. Both of them. And even when you only focus on one pair of the Olezha/Diplomator/Anton triad, the third one is always there.

The creator of the show is a fandom girl herself, and for promo materials and stuff she came up with a sort of "official au", let's call it that, so the fandom would have something interesting going on during the hiatus. In this au the characters in the show are played by the actors. It's basically ethical RPF simulator: "the actors" make posts about behind the scenes of "shooting" the series, their own lives, theater roles, et cetera, very cool.
And Anton is "played" buy this guy (his name is Tolya Beloruchko, in case you were wondering).
Which you can also ship him with I guess.
The levels of identity porn and all the possible combinations are SO tasty.
This man is fucking insane.
He once started a fencing duel on kebab skewers with a random drunk dude he just met. It ended in penetration. Of the dude's thorso. With the skewer. This idiot was annoying and flirting the whole time. Had to drive the dude to hospital. Absolute shithead. Bad bitch fumbled on first interaction.

We've been thirsting over this motherfucker since 2019, when the first episode of the series hasn't even been made yet. He was not in the trailer by the way, we only had one and a half concept art and a dream.
I'm pretty sure the audios of a bunch of people of various genders screaming how much they want to fuck him are still somewhere on the internet (but all of them in Russian). It was a huge meme in the fandom back in the day. God, I love our fandom.

Just listen. Just… just hear it for yourself. His English VA is okay I guess, but his voice is not the one we've been describing in intricate detail in fanfiction.
Diplomator IS a tumblr sexyman. And the fact that he's a niche one doesn't make it any less true.
And if y'all knew him, he'd lose in his poll with respectable 30 to 40% instead of total annihilation.
