i dont agree with outdoor cats but i gotta admit the fact me and my roommate can fondly talk about local cats like theyre our beloved neighbours is pretty cool. do i know any of the humans who live in my neighborhood? not particularly. do i know the little tuxedo cat with the pink collar who recognises the ice cream truck music and comes out to get pets from all the kids? of course they're a local celebrity to me.

#waaas just talking about outdoor cats to someone #to me the outdoor cat is okay. just dont make more outdoor cats on purpose #make sure outdoor cats are neutered/spayed #my neighbour’s cat wanders around. he’s street smart enough to never even try crossing the roads #hes big and white and all the wildlife can see him #we have a nice view of our backyard and my dad has stories of this cat stalking squirrels to no avail #he will watch a squirrel from the fence while another squirrel pesters him so he doesnt have time to attack #like no dont make more outdoor cats #but its refreshing to not see the more agressive angle on here #working at a pet store i learned most modern day outdoor cat owners also have indoor cats #and the outdoor ones are either strays or ferals that either never step into their house at all #or will raise hell if kept indoors too long. like howling to go outside
