300
Yellow & Lace has reached another milestone! I have over 300 supporters (on FB and Insta)! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.
Many of you know how much I complain about being busy, but during this season of my life, I can really feel the stress mentally, physically, and spiritually. I am so (happy) stressed that I have a pimple for every project I am working on! But It amazes me that at this moment of my life, I am overflowing with work to do. There were many times when I felt scared and worried because I was not making enough financially, but man, the Lord is good. He is my “YAWEH YIREH” (my provider) on so many levels!
I have made it a priority to get Y&L to become a reality, and I am discovering that it truly is a lot of hard work. Not only is it already time consuming to create and to be creative, but it also takes the same amount of time and energy to learn how to run a business. And I definitely have a long way to go.
I really have to thank friends and family who have been gracious enough to lend me wise advice, who are willing to answer my unending list of questions, and are even up for working with me. To name a few: Thomas for making time to teach me Business 101, Twinkle for knowing me too well that she can lay out the realities of running a business to the point that it almost frightens me, Anthony Bordon who’s been helping me with ethics and writing proposals and sacrificing personal time teaching me Illustrator, Omar of Ochoa Webdesign for working on my website, Monica, Owner of Music Tree and Iggy ,Owner of Ascend Digital for having that same entrepreneurial spirit and always pushing me to keep going and strive for more. The Complete Package for being my main printing source; they never fail to do an excellent job. Amanda, Erika, Lalabelle, Geraldine my creative and talented friends who give me good input. Trixie for providing opportunities that are challenging me as an artist and as a business person.
I obviously have to thank all of you who are just as excited as I am moving Y&L forward and to those who have given me the privilege to make something special for you. My grave yard shifts are totally worth it, when it means making my customers happy.
I never thought I’d share my passions in this sort of way. God has truly blessed me, and Lord willing, this will grow into something bigger and better.
Yay for 300!
