Just a simple weekend spent at Daichi's house where the team would eat about three times their combined weight in pizza and picky and all around as much junk food as Ukai would let them buy at his store.  They would stay up late watching shows and movies everyone could laugh at.  Once or twice someone, usually Hinata, would ask if they could watch some of their game footage and Suga would have to remind them that this winter vacation and times to be worrying about gameplay are times when they need to.

Before it got dark, the team played a small scrimmage match in the Captain's back yard but beyond that, the day played out relatively volleyball free and Asahi felt like the teenage boy that he was.  As the wee hours of the morning started to close in, Asahi found himself to be stuck in an endless loop of anxiety-fueled thinking that wouldn't let up long enough for him to even get drowsy.  What was he going to do after high school?  What college would take him that he would want to go to.  How far would be move away from his family after college?  What kind of woman would he meet?  He didn't want to meet a woman and have  a family, he wanted to stay with his friends forever but that was impossible.

Asahi wanted to stay in high school forever if it meant he never had to leave anyone. Especially Noya.  His bod jolted and looked over to where the libero slept beside him.  His hair was down and his mouth was slightly opened while he snored.  A smile moved onto the ace's lips but then he turned away.  He flopped a large elbow over his eyes, almost forcing himself to go to sleep but he couldn't.  Now he was thinking about Noya.  And how much it would pain him to never see him again.  And it was all inevitable that they'd separate.
