And every time I see "it is just not appropiate for kids" as argument I am reminded of one simple thing:

I grew up watching German Sesame street as a kid. Ernie and Bert were my favorite. And I was absolutely convinced they were married. I always looked at them like: yeah, they act like my grandparents, so they are married too. My child brain did not register that they were two man.

KIDS don't register LGBTQ+ representation as sexual, their parents do. And when they start to act upset and disgusted, THAT is when their children learn that something is "wrong" with the pair on the screen.
