—You sat on your bed, holding an envelope. You stared at the words on the back. It had included your name and your address. It wouldn't have been weird to have received a mail but it was the fact that an owl had flown in your room as soon as you woke up and opened the window to your bedroom to welcome the morning breeze and the sound of birds chirping. Opening the envelope, you slowly read through the letter.

"Dear _______,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.

Yours sincerely, Minerva McGonagall Deputy Headmistress"

After reading the contents of the letter, you looked up in confusion and to the owl sitting by the windowsill. It had refused to leave no matter how many times you attempted to shoo it away, like it was waiting for a response. It was strange yet the letter was even stranger. Was this a joke? Was someone pulling a prank on you?

You suddenly thought about the small things that you've done unintentionally that were unexplainable. Magic couldn't possibly be real. No. Someone was definitely pulling one on you. It wasn't new. People had thought you were weird because of these circumstances. Should you tell your parents? Should you throw the letter out and go on about your day?

You looked at the owl, its head tilted as it continuously stared at you. You sighed.

"I must really be out of my mind..." You muttered before getting up from your bed, having decided what to do.
